Nº 1. Copper Rock 13th
The 13th hole at Copper Rock in Hurricane, Utah features some of the most stunning views I have seen on a golf course. It is a long par 4 that plays significantly downhill. The landing area from the tee is blind but generous and a well placed tee shot up the right side will be rewarded with a long roll out down the hill.
Nº 2. McLemore 18th
The 18th at The McLemore Club in Rising Fawn, Georgia is widely regarded as one of the most scenic finishing holes in the world. A steep cliff runs along the left side of the hole. Your approach shot will be to an elevated green that appears to be sitting on the edge of the world.
Nº 3. PGA Frisco Fields Ranch West 15th
The 15th hole on the West course at Fields Ranch in Frisco, Texas is a perfect risk/reward par 4. While it’s drivable with a very good tee shot, the green is heavily guarded by bunkers, steep slopes and a hazard up the left side. Laying up to the generous landing area should leave you with a short and manageable pitch shot.
Nº 4. Landmand 17th
The drivable par 4 17th hole at Landmand in Homer, Nebraska features one of the largest greens in the world. Modeled after the famous Sitwell green, even driving the green here doesn’t guarantee par due to its massive slopes and tiers.
Nº 5. Sand Hollow 12th
While playing the 12th hole at Sand Hollow in Hurricane, Utah it might feel like you’re playing golf on mars. The hole is situated on the edge of a cliff with incredible mountain views in the distance.
Nº 6. Poplar Grove 12th
The 12th hole at Poplar Grove in Amherst, Virginia is a long par 4 that plays downhill. If you can carry your drive over the bunker on the left side of the fairway there’s a good chance your ball could roll out 75 yards or more due to the severe downslope. I have hit some of my longest drives on this hole.
